Relocation and inauguration of the ASTA Angers school

ASTA sets up shop in the heart of Angers

ASTA – Académie Supérieure du Théâtre et des Arts (Higher Academy of Theater and Arts) inaugurated the 2025 academic year in its new premises in downtown Angers, on Rue Dupetit-Thouars. This is an important milestone for this performing arts school, which now welcomes nearly 170 students across its two campuses in Angers and Toulouse.

Previously based in Trélazé,ASTA is taking a new step in its development by offering its students a space entirely dedicated to artistic practice:

-9 classrooms equipped for dance, singing, and theater,
- a writing and reading studio,
- living, working, and creative spaces designed to encourage emulation and collaboration

Located a 5-minute walk from the train station, in the heart of a city renowned for its vibrant student life, ASTA now enjoys an environment conducive to creativity, artistic research, and personal growth

"This new space is a real home for our students. It's a lively place, a hive of activity where people learn, research, create, and push themselves to new heights," says Pieryk Vanneuville, director of ASTA.

The school nevertheless maintains strong ties with the municipality of Trélazé, where it continues to have access to the Espace Jeanne Moreau hall and the Avant-Scène theater, thus continuing a long-standing artistic and cultural partnership.

This new framework marks a new era for ASTA, which continues to train multidisciplinary artists in its two professional programs: Theater and Musical Theater, combining acting, singing, dance, and stage performance.
